There seem to be more and more Mitadone Reviews coming out on the internet, so I decided to research Mitadone and provide you with a Comprehensive Review on the features, pros, and cons of the opiate and alcohol detox formulas.
Does Mitadone really work?
I’ve dedicated my life to teaching people how to use supplements and other withdrawal remedies to get off opiates with the least amount of suffering possible.
For over five years, I’ve been studying and blogging about supplements for withdrawal.
Thus, I was able to look at the Mitadone withdrawal formula ingredients and quickly see whether or not this stuff is worth your time and money.
In this Mitadone Review article, I’ll share with you the results of my findings…
Mitadone Reviews – Overview of the Products
Mitadone is a nutraceutical company that makes supplements which are supposed to help an individual have an easier time detoxing from drugs.
The Mitadone product line consists of the following formulas:
- Anti-Opiate Aid
- Anti-Alcohol Aid
- No-Smoking & Lung Cleanse
- Hangover Aid
- 5 Day Detox
- Anxiety, Stress Relief & Mood Support
The formulas range from $26.99 to $39.99, which is for a 30-day supply. On the Mitadone website it says:
“Every Purchase Is Backed By Our Mitadone 30 Day Money Back Guarantee!”
So far the pricing appears reasonable, and money back guarantees are always good.
Now let’s go over each formula’s ingredients and effectiveness, starting with the opiate withdrawal formula.
1. Mitadone Anti-Opiate Aid Review
Mitadone Anti-Opiate Aid is a supplement that was designed to help ease opiate withdrawal symptoms.
It’s also promoted to reduce opiate cravings.
Active Ingredients: Vitamin A (as Beta Carotene), Vitamin C (as Ascorbic Acid), Vitamin D3 (as Cholecalciferol), Vitamin E (as D-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate), Vitamin K1, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium, Magnesium, L-Theanine, Kudzu Root, Guarana, Glutathione, CoQ10, 5-HTP, SAM-e, Melatonin, St.John’s Wort, L-Arginine, Rutin Bioperine, Ginger, Turmeric, & Peppermint.
Other Ingredients include: Dicalcium Phosphate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Croscarmellose Sodium, Stearic Acid, Vegetable Stearate, Silicon Dioxide, Pharmaceutical Glaze.
My Review: This product contains high amounts of B vitamins, including 150 mg of pantothenic acid. B vitamins are essential for stress reduction and increasing natural energy. Pantothenic acid is the most important B vitamin for calming the nerves.
The Anti-Opiate Aid formula also contains low amounts of vitamin C, calcium, and magnesium. These nutrients are beneficial, but the amounts need to be much higher than the dosages in this supplement.
Along with the vitamin and mineral combination, this Mitadone product contains a proprietary blend of other nutrients…some of which help with opiate withdrawal.
I like the following nutrients for opiate withdrawal:
- 5-HTP – Amino acid that increases your production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that helps you relax, feel happy, and helps with sleep.
- SAM-e – Natural substance made by the body that helps alleviate depression, which also acts as a painkiller.
- Melatonin – Natural substance made by the body which helps to regulate sleep.
- St John’s Wort – Herb that is commonly used for depression.
- L-Arginine – Amino acid which increases the body’s natural production of nitric oxide, thus increasing natural energy.
- Ginger/Turmeric/Peppermint – This herbal combination relieves pain, improves digestion, and eases stomach pain and nausea.
- L-Theanine – Nondietary amino acid found in green tea which relaxes the mind into a meditative state.
Mitadone Anti-Opiate Aid Rating (2.5 out of 5 Stars): While the company has the right idea, they missed the mark. This formula’s nutrient array is not great. And worse still is the low amounts of the key nutrients. It’s better than not taking anything, but if you’re going to take supplements for coming off opiates, you can do better. This supplement is more expensive but worth the extra money in my opinion.
2. Mitadone Anti-Alcohol Aid Review
Mitadone Anti-Alcohol Aid is a formula that is supposed to help eliminate cravings, symptoms of alcohol withdrawal while helping to calm your nerves.
Active Ingredients: Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Biotin, Vitamin B5, Kudzu Root, Milk Thistle Extract, Bupleurum Root, Holy Basil, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Guarana, Inositol Hexanicotinate, DHM, L-Theanine.
Other Ingredients include: Magnesium Stearate, Rice Flour, Gelatin.
My Review: The first thing I noticed about this Mitadone formula is the high amounts of B vitamins. Alcohol depletes the body of B vitamins, and coming off alcohol you’ll need a lot of these anti-stress vitamins to counterattack the anxiety induced by quitting.
I also love that Mitadone Anti-Alcohol Aid contains kudzu root. This is a powerful natural remedy for alcoholism which can significantly reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
This alcohol withdrawal aid formula contains holy basil, also known as tulsi, which calms the nerves and acts as a powerful adaptogen…allowing the body to respond more effectively to physical and psychological stress.
It also contains L-theanine – which as I stated earlier – calms the mind.
Finally, my final favorite nutrient in the formula for coming off alcohol is milk thistle. This herb helps to quickly heal your liver from the damage that was inflicted by alcohol.
Mitadone Anti-Alcohol Aid Rating (3.5 out of 5 Stars): I really like the nutrient array in this formula, however, it could still be a lot better. The combined total amount of the proprietary blend I would like to be twice as powerful at least, but you could always just take double the recommended amount. In fact…that’s what I would do if I took this product. However, if I were coming off alcohol I would rather take Alcohol Support, another withdrawal formula. It has a better nutrient array and organic herbs, plus it’s less expensive.
Mitadone Review Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed my review of the opiate and alcohol detox formulas by Mitadone. Taking these formulas would work better if used while tapering off opiates or alcohol.
Cold-turkey withdrawals are very painful, and you can actually die from alcohol withdrawal if it’s bad enough.
These are by no means my favorite withdrawal formulas on the market.
I like this Opiate Withdrawal Supplement for getting off opiates. The ingredients are organic (which is much better), and I like the nutrient array and concentrations much better than the Mitadone withdrawal formulas.
