I know how difficult it is to quit opiates because I’ve been there done that…SEVERAL times in fact. But something finally stuck this last time I quit. I’ve been off opiates for over four years now, and I’ve been researching and blogging about opiate recovery for over a year and a half.

One of the main concepts I’ve learned is this:

Quitting opiates is never a matter of ability, and it’s always a matter of MOTIVATION.”

You see, anyone can quit opiates. It’s not complicated in theory. All you have to do is stop taking the drug. However, in reality, this is MUCH more difficult than it sounds.

I’ve noticed that even when opiate-dependent individuals have strong medications and natural remedies for reducing opiate withdrawal symptoms, they sometimes fail at quitting. Why? Because it’s not enough to have a good detox plan. You also need to be in the right frame of mind.

YouTube Videos Can Inspire and Motivate You

If you’re still not “mentally ready” to be off opiates, then it can be easy to remain stuck in your addiction. Furthermore, it this mindset of yours is still ruled by fear, and if you constantly think about how miserable life is without opiates, then even if you quit, chances are you’ll end up relapsing within a few months or less.

To help you develop and nurture a powerful mindset that is ruled by courage, inspiration, motivation, and faith, I’ve put together the following list of YouTube videos for you to watch. Watching these videos can be absolutely LIFE-CHANGING.

These are beneficial to watch anytime in life, but I think they would be the most helpful to view to gain the motivation to quit opiates, or while going through acute or post-acute opiate withdrawal. Take your mind off the pain of the moment, and view these videos to fill your mind and heart with love and wisdom.

YES!!!!!! That’s what I’m talking about. There is so much in life that happens on a daily basis which can cause fear and we often just live in reaction to what happens to us. By watching videos like this, we actually feed our mind and are PROACTIVE in what we choose to focus on. It’s been over 4 years since I’ve been an opiate addict, and I watch videos like this all the time because there is so much negativity in the world…everywhere…and I absolutely must feed my soul with inspiration on a daily basis. Or else I too will get caught up in living in reaction to life.

Thanks for sharing your experience and I hope you’ll watch the rest of the videos as well.
