Hey, this is Matt Finch and welcome to the video on how to get both your energy and your happiness back after you get off opioids. One of the most common questions I get is “how do I get my energy back?” And “how do I feel any sort of pleasure after I get off opioids.”

So this video is gonna teach you exactly the best ways to do that.

So first let’s talk about why you feel exhausted after you get off opioids.

Opioids Spike Dopamine

Opioids spike dopamine levels super high, and after you’ve been taking them for a few weeks and especially longer, your brain starts to adapt to that.

So now to feel any sort of dopamine rush at all, you actually need the opioids to create dopamine.

And then the problem happens after you detox. So once you’ve detoxed from opioids, now your brain is totally dopamine deficient.

You have no dopamine and that is why you have no energy and no motivation and other things because once your brain becomes addicted to the opioids to create dopamine and you get off, you can’t create it anymore on its own.

And so, when your brain has no dopamine that equals no energy, no pleasure, no motivation, and which all those together can really lead to relapse.

So it is very common for people to relapse within the first 90 days of getting off opioids.

And here’s why…

Let’s say for instance you have just got off opioids… you’ve made it past the acute withdrawal… but then for the next few weeks or even the next few months, you’re totally exhausted you can’t feel any sort of pleasure in life, whatsoever.

Pleasure Deafness

It’s called “anhedonia” or “pleasure deafness” — the inability to feel any pleasure. So you’re dragging butt at work, you got to take care of kids, you have responsibilities, and you just feel totally hopeless and totally exhausted.

You know, we live in a fast-paced society and we have responsibilities.

So if you could just lay on the couch and watch movies for the next two months after you get off, well then probably anybody could do it.

But most people have responsibilities and most people need energy and motivation and have to experience at least some type of pleasure, but without any dopamine, you cannot.

So the way you get your energy and your happiness back really fast after you get off opioids is to increase dopamine. So when a person is exhausted and can’t feel any pleasure for weeks and months in a row, most people cave in and get back on opioids.

Those are two of the most common relapse triggers is the exhaustion and the inability to feel pleasure.

So, as I said we really need to concentrate on increasing dopamine naturally and that alone — just that one biohacking method — is gonna help you get energy and happiness back.

How To Boost Dopamine Naturally

So here are just some of the most common natural ways that I recommend my coaching clients, and YouTube watchers and Blog readers to get their dopamine back.

Number one is supplements.

Supplements

So there’s a whole lot of supplements that can help increase dopamine some of my favorites are L-Tyrosine, DLPA, Mucuna Pruriens, L-Theanine, Kava-Kava — and like I said there’s really just a whole lot more you can use.

All of these are gonna increase dopamine.

In addition, some of these do a lot more than just increase dopamine, so these are some amazing supplements you can use.

Number two is nootropics or some people pronounce it nootropics.

Nootropics

These are also known as “smart drugs.” They’re cognitive enhancers, they increase these are extremely effective at increasing dopamine, energy, motivation, pleasure.

They’re just super specific for increasing your brain health.

So, some of the best ones are Adrafinil, Phenylpiracetam, Aniracetam, Noopept, plus much more.

There’s dozens more of these nootropic products that are just amazing at helping you feel and instantly, you could be going through opioid withdrawal fatigue and depression or maybe you have post-acute withdrawal.

And you could just take one or two of these types of cognition enhancers, and you could theoretically feel better that very day.

But when you take them for more days in a row that’s when you can get the most benefits.

And then we have exercise.

Exercise

So, exercise is one of the most underutilized methods for increasing dopamine, and it also increases endorphins which are our natural painkillers that are also very deficient when you get off opioids, increases serotonin, GABA, oxytocin and Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor.

So, exercise is literally a way too seriously boost your neuro-vitality and your neurotransmission. So, I highly recommend people exercise after they get off opioids, and you can do whatever you like.

Do something that you enjoy.

You could walk or lift weights or go swimming or do yoga or you could go you know downhill mountain bike riding or something like that.

Any of these things.

Whatever you enjoy you’re gonna be more likely to stick with it, so that’s an amazing strategy.

And then we have nutrition with a focus on eating some good high-quality proteins.

Nutrition and Protein

So, when you cut out a lot of the sugar and the processed foods and the bad fats the bad oils, and then you focus more on organic whole foods, that can be an amazing strategy to increase dopamine give you your pleasure, and energy as well.

And then protein is made of amino acids and amino acids increase your neurotransmitters like dopamine, endorphins, serotonin, and GABA. So, this is a very effective method to use and here is probably the most underutilized way to increase dopamine and brain health is meditation.

Meditation

You know meditation is a really big pain in the butt for a lot of people. A lot of people don’t want to sit there in quiet and focus on their breathing and try to not think thoughts.

So, if you don’t want to try to not think thoughts you can just go on YouTube, and there are so many different guided meditations.

These guided ones you can just close your eyes there’s music in the background.

And then you’ll have somebody guiding your breathing, they’re actually telling you what to visualize.

And that makes it a lot easier.

It’s a real great beginners way to get into meditation.

The Dopamine/Energy Supplements Guidebook

And so, at this point like to offer you something, it’s a free report that I created.

And it’s the Dopamine/Energy Supplements Guidebook.

You can actually go into the description box of this video below and you can click on it — there’s a little link right there — or you could go to tinyurl.com/energyback.

And that has the “Top 20 Supplements and Nootropics that can Increase your Dopamine.”

So, it’s gonna be things like amino acids and herbs and vitamins and minerals, and those nootropics, all these differences and some of them are combination supplement brands that have a combination of these different things in there.

So, that is a really awesome free resource that you might want to check out.

And for more free videos — we’ve got over 300 free articles and videos at opiateaddictionsupport.com.

    Matt

I finally kicked the suboxone even though ugh the docs were so against it.

I tapered myself down from 12mg to 2 mg and went for it.
It took 9 months to taper down but didn’t want to rush it. Since Sept 2021 I took GABA AND 5HTP Faithfully.

I also bought the day and night formula of Elimidrol along with karaMD Ulta Beets. As well the Calm support.

I’m 2 weeks into it and it’s amazing. I’m just having g a hard time with energy.

Loss of Epsom salts baths like 3 to 4 a day.

Ton of water eating right but just caught get my energy going.

I used klonpin, lorazepam, serquoel and stomach meds and hydroxyzine she made sure I was knocked out through the worst of it…

Now trying to figure out how to get my energy back it feels like I’m dragging ten thousand pounds around.
Any suggestions for getting my natural energy back quickly?

Thank you again you proved to me it can be done if we want it bad enough…and I wanted it bad enough.

Thank you and God Bless you

    Tammie
