1. How To Detox From Heroin At Home with Vitamin C
Do you want to know a very inexpensive and research-based method on how to detox from heroin at home?
I thought so!
High-dose vitamin C has been shown in multiple studies to significantly minimize heroin detox symptoms.
In a study from 2000, high doses of Vitamin C on the withdrawal syndrome of heroin abusers were investigated. The patients in the vitamin C group received 300 mg per kg of body weight per day, along with vitamin E in the amount of 5 mg per kg of body weight. The control group received only conventional medication.
The results showed that the vitamin C group had much milder withdrawal symptoms than the control group. The study concluded that high doses of vitamin C may ameliorate the withdrawal syndrome of heroin abusers.

2. How To Detox From Heroin At Home with Kratom
Here is another powerful method on how to detox from heroin at home. It can be expensive, but kratom has been a lifesaving plant for countless individuals that have detoxed from heroin at home.
What is kratom?
Kratom is an evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia, that is a member of the coffee family.
While this plant is not an opiate, it is, however, an opioid agonist.
This is just a fancy term meaning that it mimics the effects of opioid drugs such as heroin, morphine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, etc.
You’ve probably heard of the medications Suboxone, Subutex and methadone. These are also opioid agonists, and they tend to eliminate opiate withdrawal symptoms and cravings especially well. The only problem is that many individuals are now stuck on these powerful medications, due to them being a lot harder to come off than one might think.
Mitragynine, the major alkaloid in kratom, is a partial opioid agonist producing similar effects to morphine.
An interesting minor alkaloid of kratom, 7-hyrdoxymitragynine, has been reported to be more potent than morphine. Both kratom alkaloids activate supraspinal mu- and delta- opioid receptors, which is the main reason the plant alleviates heroin detox symptoms so well.

3. How To Detox From Heroin At Home with the Finch Formula
I hope you’re enjoying learning about these methods on how to detox from heroin at home. This next protocol on how to detox from heroin at home is one of my absolute favorites.
I devised the “Finch Formula” as an improvement upon a popular cold-turkey heroin detox method called the Thomas Recipe.
After studying herbs, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other supplements for quite some time, I’ve learned which ones offer the best benefits for heroin detox. And as a result of my personal experience and research, I’ve also found the greatest medications for heroin detox.
The Finch Formula is a combination of natural remedies and medications that, when used together, have the ability to stop 80-100% of your heroin detox symptoms.

4. How To Detox From Heroin At Home with Loperamide
The absolute cheapest and simplest method on how to detox from at heroin at home is using loperamide HCL. Loperamide is an over-the-counter diarrhea medicine that many people have used to detox from heroin at home.
If you’ve ever heard of or used Imodium Ad, then you’re acquainted with loperamide.
This medicine is beneficial for detoxing from heroin at home because it acts as a mu opioid-agonist on the myenteric plexus of the large intestine. This is just a fancy way of saying loperamide has the same effects that opioids do on your stomach. Loperamide is a synthetic opioid, though it does not get you high.
This is because Loperamide doesn’t act on the Central Nervous System (CNS).
Loperamide, taken in moderate to large doses above the label-recommended doses, can be an extremely effective method on how to detox from heroin at home.
It appears that dosages in the higher-than-normal range have the ability to significantly reduce withdrawal symptoms for people that are detoxing from heroin at home.
With extremely high doses (super-ultra-mega doses), it can also get some people high, as these amounts appear to act on the CNS for some individuals.

How To Detox From Heroin At Home – Conclusion
Now that you’ve learned these 4 powerful methods on how to detox from heroin at home, I’m sure you’ll be able to reduce your heroin detox symptoms so much that you aren’t in complete agony.

Thank you so much for this article. I am not a user but my dad was for my whole life and most of his. He quit cold turkey many times but couldn’t stay away from his “friends” and relapsed a lot. He lost his battle to addiction when I was 20 (14 years ago) and I wish there was this information then. Maybe it would’ve helped. Now, the love of my life is going thru the same thing and I’m so greatful I have the resources to help him the this. He is on day two of cold turkey and I’m so proud of him. I don’t know what it’s like but I see how hard it is on him and I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. He keeps apologizing but there is nothing for him to be sorry for. Anyone going thru this deserves a medal, it is not just physical but emotional and mental as well and I’m not sure I could handle it. To everyone fighting this addiction, you are so strong and so brave. Fuck this drug and every thing it does! Keep your heads up, you will get thru this stronger and better. Thank you again Matt.

Olivia, your comment brought true joy to my heart. I’m very sorry you lost your dad, and the fact that you’re so supportive and understanding of the love your life (not to mention helpful!) makes me so happy. He is so lucky to have you in his corner. Take care.

hey matt,
I wanted to know if vitamin c, with kratum and a partial finch thomas would be too much. I am on dlpa and calm now and have tapered for as long as i have had only a couple weeks to do it before shit hit the fan. i am starting tonight and was thinking about using a high dose of c with my kratum finch plan but don’t want to hurt my guts needlessly. i originally wanted to do C but have seen some bad results and think that with my habit and the doses of fentanyl dope these days it may not work as well. also want a crutch for a couple weeks with kratum. I have been on suboxin before and after reading your articles and the length of DT I think i am allset. If you get back to me in time i will send you my plan but know you must be busy. Also with the immodium you kept it at a non mega dose for finch and wondered why exactly and if its dangerous to mix with other plans. Thanks
Matt Finch
I would use kratom first for awhile, maybe a couple of weeks, then take a week off work and use the vitamin C with Finch Formula. I wouldn’t mega-dose the loperamide. Of course, there are many other ways to do this and many variations so a full consult would be necessary for me to really come up with a detailed plan.

Can I get through the WD’s from opioids with L-Tyrosine and Loperamide ?
Matt Finch
Hi James,
Many people have used just loperamide with great success. And people rave about L-Tyrosine too.
Irv C
If you can handle it you can get thru withdrawal with nothing. In my teens and early 20’s no problemo. Now! I need all the help I can get. My point is you wont know till you try. Kratom works great, so does Methadone if you take it for only 5-7 days. Good luck to you.

Randy,
I am curious to know how your detox went. I am using the same opiate you were and in the same manner. I also got Mercola’s Liposomal Vit C to do the Mega dose detox which I started yesterday. I also have elimidrol formulas previously purchased and got the Kyani products along with other supplements. I was wondering if the Liposomal Vit C absorbs in your body better and therefore don’t require as many mg as suggested when taking sodium abscorbate. I hope you are having success and on your road to a much better life as we all deserve it!! These evil drugs rob us of so much unfortunately. Any feedback you can give me about your detox and with Vit C would be greatly appreciated!
Randy
Hi Alecia,
I am sad to tell you that I broke down around the 48 hour mark. I am going to have another go at it. This will be my like 6th time. I can say that aside from my weakness it was not that bad. I was able to take 5 capsules every two hours easily I was alternating between Bronson sodium ascorbet caplets which are 1,000 mg. Dr. Mercola pills are 500 mg. As far as amount needed I was taking either 4 Dr. Mercola’s every two hours or 5 Bronson’s and alternating. (I would take the Bronson caplets and dissolve them in an old pill container with juice and chase it down with more juice). I could definitely tell a difference on the bowel between the two products, the liposomal really no issues, the Bronson type “tummy issues”. Now I was using loperamide as well and took 10 two times on day 1 and 3 times day 2. I was quite comfortable but I am an idiot and broke down (again). I am going to wait a day or two and have another go at it. well on the positive side I made 24 hours once and 48 hours once. If I can get to 72 hours next round perhaps I will be able to dig deep enough to stick it out, at some point I have to. (sorry for the blabber if too long). I do know that next round I will wait 12 hours after last use and take 10 loperamides, and begin “C” dosing 4 Mercola’s every two hours and if I begin to become too uncomfortable take 5 Bronson’s an hour after dosing 4 Mercola’s. I would also use loperamide a bit more aggressively by taking 5 every two hours until feeling better. Also I think it is important to drink juice water or something you can handle to stay hydrated. Eat if you can as much as you can, bananas are good during this process or anything else you can stomach, obviously the healthier type foods are most likely better but eat what you can, I would like to hear how your detox is going/went and as far as the absorbing factor the liposomal does seem to be effective with less. I think a good place to start is 2 every two hours and go up if needed or even take them when symptoms are bothersome instead of waiting two hours. Like I have read which is annoying while you analyze the process but “listen to your body” not like I do and go get dope though, I am going to have another go at this. I only have around 100 Dr. Mercola’s left and have been considering the chewable type from Walmart, I would like to add that unless your mind is pretty keen that taking all these different things gets a bit hard to remember what you took how much and when so I began writing it down to remember, I would certainly like to hear about Elimidrol and what you think of that product, as well as the Kyani. I would think you may have a challenge taking all this things combined. I was having a hard time with “C”, loperamide, L-tyrosine and DLPA (I ordered the wrong formula L type not DL was unaware of the difference until they arrived). I am wishing you luck on your journey, I need a good kick in the ass, or slap across the face, however in my defense I am learning how to dose for symptoms and my answer to that for anyone is with vitamin C and Lopes take as much as you need to feel better. When I took a lot of both I felt pretty darn good considering how I know I would feel without anything, I would be curled up in a ball, doing it this way I was eating banana’s, crackers, and did not have the screamers but did reach a bowel tolerance when I took 15 grams of Bronson’s in a two hour period in an earlier attempt, but not repeatedly I added some lopes and switched back to the liposomal type. I am quite curious as to how the chewable type taste and react, hope it is like skittles. yeah right. Good Luck to one and all! As for myself I will get through this eventually (if at first you don’t succeed try and try again) (practice makes perfect) yada yada. Alecia I look forward to hearing from you.

I really suggest adding RedBali Kratom to your regimen.Online you’ll get it in about 3 days if you order from Top Extracts. The stuff is magic.Twoheaping teaspoons 3-4X a day for 3-5 days. The rest is the mental, depression, no energy but in a couple weeks you feel human.
Irv C
It’s bad to be sure. I’ve done it at least 15-20 times in the last 45 years. The worst is Methadone withdrawals. It’s not as violent but it goes on and on for weeks into months. My last try at Methadone cold turkey I lasted 7 weeks. I could not take anymore and my heart went into fibrillation so I won’t be doing that one again. Kratom helps but for Methadone it’s good but not enough to keep it going all the way.
Matt Finch
Hi Irv,
Yes methadone withdrawal lasts a long time indeed. I had patients that went to jail while on high doses of methadone, and had to go through a cold-turkey detox in jail! I can’t even imagine…
Randy
Hi all!
I am going to begin a detox from a moderate heroin addiction (.2 to .5 per day) snorted non IV. I plan to use the 1,000 mg Dr. Mercola liposomal vitamin c. Along with that I plan to combine loperamice most likely 10 mg morning and evening or more if needed to control bowels. Along with that I am adding DLPS and L tyrosine to aid in recovery. I am still reading and making some decision about how to coordinate these two supplements into the detox. I am planning to start these things three days before making my break from the H. I will be doing this within the next few dats still waiting for the items to arrive (ordered online) and doing some more reading and making myself a chart to record my dosages as well as keeping tract of what I have taken throughout the day, this gets to be a lot of “dosing” to keep in my head, a chart will help me remember when to take what and how much as well as leaving a record of my progress which I am planning to share so others may get an idea of how it works or doesn’t work, although I have expectations that this is going to help a great deal from what I have been reading. A special thanks to Matt for his dedication to helping people he doesn’t even know, (thank you Matt). I will post information about my “quest” as I go through the days. Thanks for reading, take care and good luck to anyone who is in the same spot I got myself into “again”. Hopefully I can detox and stay clean this time around I am 54 and getting up there in years and don’t want to be doing this for the rest of my life. I want to restore order to my life and quit chasing for dope and wasting money.
Matt Finch
Randy I really appreciate you adding so much value to the forum on both this new article, as well as the vitamin C protocol. Your detox plan sounds effective and strategic, and I look forward to seeing your updates as you go through it. 🙂
