In this article, I’m going to teach you all about using kratom for pain relief. I’ve now been studying and promoting the kratom plant for three years for things like opiate withdrawal, pain relief, depression, PTSD, and other physical and mental health issues.
I’ve even used kratom a number of times to feel the effects and thus be able to have a more intimate relationship with the plant, and thus have a deeper knowledge and wisdom of how it affects the mind and body.
I’ve written a few free publications on kratom (including my ebook The Kratom Playbook For Opiate Recovery), but this is the first time I’m doing an article all about using kratom for pain relief.
Why now all of a sudden?
My long-time and close friend, a 40-year-old female with chronic pain and other health issues who is a single mom to a 9-year-old boy, just visited me in Oahu for a vacation.
Let’s call her Jenny, even though that’s not her real name.
I completely changed her life by giving her some kratom for her chronic back pain and fatigue, and I want to share her results, and teach you how to use kratom for pain relief in the process. (She gave me enthusiastic permission to write about her story but wanted me to use a fake name)
So, without further ado, here is how Jenny eliminated her pain and fatigue in less than one hour…
Kratom For Pain Relief – Jenny’s Chronic Pain Story
To make a long story short, I’ll just say that Jenny has been suffering from chronic neck pain and chronic back pain for many years. In addition, the pain also hits her so hard that it totally wipes out all of her energy.
She is fatigued all the time, and as you can imagine, having chronic pain as well as fatigue makes it difficult to be a single mom and hold down a job as well.
A few years ago, she was no longer able to work.
The pain and fatigue became so bad that she would have to call into work all the time and take the day off. I’ve been Jenny’s close friend for six years, and our kids are the best of friends. Her son is 9 and my daughter is 8.
Jenny finally got surgery on her neck last year, and that took away her neck pain. Unfortunately, she thought that would also cure her back pain, but she was wrong.
Now her back pain is worse than ever, as is her fatigue, but the doctors say it’s still not bad enough for them to do surgery. She is on public assistance and get’s food stamps, and her parents, fortunately, have been helping to pay some of her rent for over a year, but they are going to discontinue their help with money in three months.
She told me she was very stressed out because she didn’t know where she was going to live in three months once she will no longer be able to afford her rent.
And since her chronic pain and mental issues caused by it and the medication side effects have caused her physical and mental health to decline, she also told me she didn’t know how she could ever work to make money.
When Jenny and her son came to visit me in beautiful Oahu, Hawaii to celebrate her 40th birthday and for a much-needed vacation, it was so hard for me to see her in the condition she was in.
The first night she was at my house, they spent the night, then woke up early the next morning to go swim with sharks on the North Shore of Oahu.
When they came back, she was in so much pain, and she was so fatigued she had to lay down on my couch and it looked like she would not be able to enjoy much of her trip.
She is prescribed Norco and Percocet and takes them for the pain, but she says it gives her horrible side effects and doesn’t even help the pain that much and does nothing at all for her chronic fatigue. She also stated that’s she’s on several more medications to combat the side effects she gets from these RX opiate painkillers.
Kratom and BulletProof Coffee – Miracle Combo?
When I saw how much pain and exhaustion Jenny had, I wanted badly to help. I offered her some kratom and said it should help with her pain and her fatigue as well. She stated she had tried kratom once years in the past, but she didn’t know how much to use, and thus only used a tiny amount which did nothing for her pain.
I told her that I was very knowledgeable about using kratom for pain relief safely, and could provide her with the perfect strain and dosage to help with her back pain and fatigue.
She agreed and trusted me, and said she would do just about anything to feel better.
“GREAT!” I said.
And then proceeded to give Jenny a large glass of water and 12 capsules of White Vein Kratom, which was around 6 grams of kratom, since each capsule contained approximately 500 mg of kratom powder.
After she swallowed all 12 kratom capsules for pain relief, I made Jenny a 12-ounce cup of Bulletproof Coffee, which is my new FAVORITE thing in the world…by far.
The Bulletproof coffee recipe contains the following ingredients:
- 8-16 ounces of Bulletproof Coffee
- 1-2 tablespoons grass-fed unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil
I made her coffee with my French press, then added the coffee, grass-fed butter, and Brain Octane Oil to a blender and blended it together for about 25 seconds.
Then I handed it to her.
She stated that it tasted DELICIOUS!!!
Of course, it did! It had 2 tablespoons of yummy butter in it and the Brain Octane Oil was also very high in healthy fat.
I won’t go deep into the details here because that’s another article I’m going to do in the future. However, I will quote the Bulletproof blog directly on some of the top benefits of this coffee recipe.
Top Benefits of this Bulletproof Coffee recipe:
- Steady Lasting Energy – The saturated fat in grass-fed butter slows the absorption of caffeine, which gives you even energy for several hours instead of a caffeine spike and crash. No jitters, either.
- Mental Clarity – Brain Octane rapidly converts to ketones, a type of molecule that your brain uses more efficiently than carbs or sugar. Pair ketones with the slowly releasing caffeine and you can literally feel your brain turning on.
- A Sharper Brain – Bioflavonoids in coffee can actually make you smarter by intensifying neuronal firing in the brain. This means your brain cells will communicate faster so thoughts come more quickly and you’ll have better recall. Coffee can also protect your brain as you age.
- A Happier Outlook – There’s some evidence that a couple cups of coffee a day can improve your mood and sense of alertness.
- Better Physical Performance and Less Fat – Caffeine can boost your physical endurance so your workouts seem easier. The caffeine in coffee can also raise your metabolism to help you burn fat.
I started drinking this Bulletproof Coffee recipe a week before Jenny came to visit me and it had already totally changed my life!
I experienced all of the benefits mentioned above after my first cup. Now with all my family and friends, I RANT and RAVE about how much I love it and how much it has helped me feel more energized and healthy, both physically and mentally.
Kratom For Pain Relief – How Jenny’s Life Changed
Within about 45 minutes of taking kratom, Jenny said that her pain went from an 8 out of 10 to a 1. Additionally, I saw her eyes wide open and it looked like her exhaustion was also gone. So I asked her about her energy.
She stated that she had ENERGY.
Now I assume that was a combination of the kratom (since white vein kratom is both painkilling and energizing/mood-enhancing) and the Bulletproof Coffee.
To make a long story short, I won’t go into all the details but here is what happened for the next three days while Jenny continued to take 12 capsules of White Kratom 2-3x a day with 12 ounces of Bulletproof Coffee in the morning and again early in the afternoon.
Here are some benefits Jenny reported and that I saw with my own eyes:
- No More Pain!
- No More Fatigue!
- No More Depression!
- Positive Mood!
- Lots of Energy!
- Enjoyment of Life!
On her last day visiting me, she thanked me from the bottom of her heart for introducing her to using kratom for pain relief and energy and said she was going to buy her own and continue using it. I made sure she had enough kratom capsules to take on the plane and for the next couple of days until her order arrived in the mail.
The next morning, she texted me from California and said she had ordered kratom and also the ingredients to make Bulletproof Coffee.
Kratom For Pain Relief – How it Works
At this point, you may have already researched kratom before and knows why it helps with pain so much. Or, you may not have a clue on why using kratom for pain relief is so effective. In this section, I’m going to provide you with information on how kratom for pain relief works.
Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is an evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia and is a member of the coffee family. Currently, kratom is not regulated by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in the United States (making it legal).
However, some states have passed laws banning kratom, and it seems like more and more states are banning it or trying to ban it lately, and the FDA is also trying to do so, but so far they haven’t been successful.
Despite common misconception, Kratom is not an opiate.
For something to be classified as an opiate, it has to be derived from the opium poppy plant. Kratom, simply put, is a partial opioid agonist. This means that it’s not derived from opium, though it does bind to opioid receptors.
And in the case of kratom, it’s a natural plant that acts as an opioid agonist (opposite of “synthetic agonist” which means “manmade”).
Once a person takes a dose of kratom, it binds to the same opioid receptors in the brain, spinal cord, intestines, and other parts of the body that opiates bind to, and as a result, leads to effects which feel very similar (though not identical) to opiate drugs, though kratom effects are also much milder.
Mitragynine
Mitragynine, the major alkaloid in kratom, is a partial opioid agonist producing similar effects to morphine. An interesting minor alkaloid of kratom, 7-hyrdoxymitragynine, has been reported to be more potent than morphine.
Both kratom alkaloids activate supraspinal mu- and delta- opioid receptors, which is the main reason the plant alleviates pain and opiate withdrawal symptoms/cravings so well.
To sum things up, kratom is not an opiate, however, it binds to the same opioid receptors that opiate drugs bind to. Thus, kratom is a legal plant that can be used as a natural pain relief alternative to prescription or illicit opiates.
Additionally, research scientists have concluded that kratom doesn’t cause the respiratory depression effects that traditional opiates and opioids cause, which mean it’s much, much safer.
Kratom For Pain Relief – Risks and Effects
Kratom can make you feel good and anything that has this effect can be habit-forming. For those that have chronic pain, they are totally fine with being dependent on kratom as it really helps them feel better.
Kratom can also cause physiological dependence after prolonged daily use. When this happens, if you stop taking kratom for pain relief abruptly you may experience withdrawal symptoms such as fatigue, irritability, etc. You can avoid these symptoms by tapering off kratom.
Kratom effects include the following:
- Pain Relief
- Mood-Enhancement
- Mental Stimulation
- Relaxation (Physical and Mental)
Best Kratom Strains For Pain Relief
Due to kratom’s action on the opioid receptors, it’s extremely effective at providing pain relief. Additionally, kratom also has active alkaloids in it that act as muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatories, which can also significantly reduce or even completely eliminate pain and/or muscle tension.
My favorite kratom strains for pain relief include:
- Classic Red Bali
- White Bali
- Borneo (Red and White)
- Red Maeng Da
- Kali Super Green
- Yellow Indo
Kratom Strains and Dosage Effects
The kratom effects vary depending on the strain and dosage used. For instance, lower dosages in the 2-5 gram range could produce stimulating effects with some pain relief, while higher dosages of 6-10 grams or more can lead to much more pain relief with less stimulating effects.
Furthermore, the red kratom strains tend to be the most sedating, while the white strains are typically more stimulating. The green strains are typically not as stimulating as white strains, and not as sedating as red ones, and fall somewhere in the middle of the two.
Dosage has been a key factor for those looking for specific effects. By dosing too low, the medicinal capabilities are nulled, while dosing too high can often lead to relatively harmless, but potentially unpleasant side-effects, such as the “wobbles” and minor nausea. To learn about kratom dosages, refer below.
Average dosage by grams:
- Mild – 1 to 2 grams (.5 to .9 tsp)
- Moderate – 2-4.5 grams (1 to 2 tsp)
- High – 4.5 – 8 grams (2 to 3.5 tsp)
More Science Behind Kratom Pain Relief and Other Benefits
In addition to this large range of medicinal applications, kratom also has other positive secondary properties such as high-antioxidant and vitamin content, which has made it worthwhile for general health purposes as well. The following info was found in The Kratom Bible: A Complete Guide to Kratom.
Here is a list of the 28 identified active alkaloids present in kratom:

Where to Buy Kratom For Pain Relief Online
These days there are plenty of online kratom vendors to choose from. However, all kratom vendors are not created equal. I’ve tried many kratom vendors that had low-quality kratom where the kratom either had weak effects, or it made me sick, or both.
After trying several online kratom vendors, I finally found one that I could do permanent business with. My favorite online kratom vendor is TopExtracts.com. I highly recommend and endorse this company as it has premium kratom that is pure, high-quality, and priced to sell.

How To Use Kratom For Pain Relief
At this point, you may be wondering what the best way is to use kratom for pain relief. It’s actually quite simple. In the bullet-point section below, I’ll provide you with instructions on how to use kratom for pain relief in a safe way.
How To Use Kratom For Pain Relief:
- Step 1: Purchase Kratom – I recommend TopExtracts.com as I’ve tried it and many others, and it’s the highest quality I’ve found with the best customer service. They have kratom powder, kratom capsules, kratom resin, and kratom extract.
- Step 2: Start Low – Take 3 grams of kratom powder or six kratom capsules for your first dosage and take it on an empty stomach or with a very small amount of food. If taking a powder, you can mix it with water or another beverage.
- Step 3: Find a Perfect Dose – Wait an hour and if it doesn’t take away your pain and doesn’t have any adverse effects, take 3 more grams of kratom powder or 6 more kratom capsules. Most people do well taking anywhere from 3-8 grams of kratom powder or 6-16 kratom capsules for pain relief.
- Step 4: Take Kratom for Pain Relief – You can use kratom for pain anywhere from 1-5 times a day. Most people with chronic pain syndromes use it around 1-3 times a day for pain relief.
After you’ve tried using kratom capsules or kratom powder for pain relief, you can decide on whether or not you want to try kratom resin or kratom extract, which are stronger, concentrated kratom formulations.
Update From Jenny After a Week on Kratom and Bulletproof Coffee
I just got a text from Jenny this morning now one week after her using kratom for natural pain relief and energy – and Bulletproof Coffee for all of its amazing mental and physical health benefits.
Here is our series of text communications between us, which led to me creating this article!
Isn’t that an inspiring story of using kratom for pain relief and MUCH MORE?! The Bulletproof Coffee no doubt is also helping, but this kratom plant for pain relief and mental well-being without all the side effects of synthetic drugs is truly a great thing for Jenny.
Here is a picture I took of Jenny at the famous Waikiki Beach after a few days of her using kratom for pain relief/energy/mood – and Bulletproof Coffee for all of its amazing benefits – which likely synergized with the kratom benefits.
She said I could use this pic but asked that I crop out her son. No problem!
Kratom For Pain Relief – Final Thoughts
Millions of patients continue to require opioid analgesics for control of moderate to severe chronic pain, which is a disease that affects more Americans than cancer, heart disease, and diabetes combined. Using kratom for pain relief is a natural treatment that many people have switched over to.
Many kratom users report they get significant pain relief benefits and prefer taking a natural plant over pharmaceutical drugs.
Again, I would like to restate that daily kratom use can be habit-forming and you can get a dependence to kratom as well, meaning you will have withdrawal symptoms if you stop taking it abruptly after a physiological dependence has been established.
You can prevent withdrawal symptoms by tapering off kratom or by using opioid withdrawal remedies. The DEA and FDA are both on a mission to make kratom illegal, but that might not ever happen as kratom has many passionate supporters including politicians, scientists, and non-profit organizations fighting for it to remain legal.
If kratom becomes illegal, that means that individuals using kratom for chronic pain will be in a difficult position. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released new opioid-prescribing guidelines not long ago in response to the opioid epidemic addiction and overdose death statistics.
A superabundance of chronic pain patients emailed me and stated their doctors immediately cut their opioid daily dosage in half without even tapering them down to the lower dosage, putting many patients into withdrawal.
If kratom does become illegal, millions of people currently using kratom will need to find other solutions for their pain or issues they are taking it for.
I try not to think about that because it’s just too sad, especially after seeing kratom help so many opiate addicts – and most recently – my friend Jenny for her pain/fatigue – in such profound and measurable ways.
If you want to join me and at least tens of thousands of other people that are doing what they can to help keep kratom legal, you can visit the American Kratom Association website to learn about the many ways in which you can make a big difference.
If you have any comments or questions on the use of kratom for pain relief, please post them in the comment box below.

Kratom is addictive and I can’t believe that a website called opioid addiction support would recommend this. Kratom use causes hair loss, thyroid issues, gastrointestinal issues, seizures, anxiety and depression, and even heart issues with heavy use. I know multiple people going on suboxone because the withdrawal from kratom was so bad. If you had any integrity at all you would take this article down.

I read your article re Kratom for opiod withdrawal. I pray it helps. I am addicted to buprenorphine which is prescribed. I have been on opiods for 30 years and now have opiod itch. I want off. I am scared about the withdrawal and knowing I will have chronic pain for rest of my life. If I use Kratom to withdraw will I become physically addicted to it? I don’t want to trade one addiction for another. Please reply. Thank you. Sharon

I used Kratom back in 2019 for its euphoric effects, pain relief, and the amazing ability it gives you when you work out! I had only been using for about 6 months. Nonetheless, I became addicted to it. It was habitual and interfering with work and my family life. It got to the point where I would be sneaking off the the bathroom, or wherever I can “hide” just to take it. It got in the way and I made up excuses for everything just to take it.
I consumed it by either taking a large spoon (two to three at separate intervals), and get a little bit of water or juice in my mouth, take the Kratom, then chug it down with the water or the juice. I guess I would now call this shooting it down or taking Kratom shots. I DO NOT recommend this! It was highly irresponsible and inappropriate. It was simply too much dosage at once. I had to consume this much because, like the typical addict, I became tolerant and, thus, needed more and more. While I did try to quit or try not to take the drug for a day or two, I would just experience extremely uncomfortable withdrawals.
It wasn’t until one night I went out back to smoke some marijuana. The marijuana’s high compelled me into an emotional state, so I went back inside and confessed, crying to my spouse that I was addicted to Kratom and it had taken control of my life; I just couldn’t handle the “mastery” it had over me. It had taken over. I then decided to go to a detox center. In hindsight it was a mistake. They just wanted my money and I felt very uneasy and uncomfortable there. Not very hospitable nor comforting. I am not recommending anyone not seek treatment at an inpatient house, or treatment facility. I am just disclaiming that THIS place in particular was NOT helpful to ME. They put me on Suboxone.
I have been dependent on this medication since 2019. It has rewired my brain and character; I can say it has changed me for the worse. It has interfered with my social and family life to the point where I am no longer living with my family. I became angry, short-tempered and unpleasant to be around. The good news is I found this sight and some help from church. With GOD and the right HELP, I am have cut down from 12 mg to just a single pill of 2- to 2.5 mg in about 2 months.
You need to know it is very important: EVERYONE is different! It is important to know this, and take it for what it is and get the help YOUR body and soul needs. I honestly believe if you don’t advocate for yourself, your doc will indefinitely keep you on ANY medication, including Suboxone.
I have been exercising, eating well, praying to God, keeping in the Word, and getting help from his people. It is true, you need to take care of the physical. I believe it because it is working thus far for me. It is not easy. I am feeling pretty crummy at times. I am going to test out a few supplements listed when I am off the Suboxone for good. I appreciate any prayers as I am praying for your recovery. My last words of encouragement would be, please, please, please be careful with Kratom. EVERYONE’S situation and needs are different, BUT I do not recommend Kratom. It can be abused like any other drug. It is addictive!!! As an addict, one should keep away from substances like this. Please, be careful.
Rachel
I hope you respond b/c I need guidance. I have read your articles/reviews/blogs and am unsure of what kind of Kratom to get. I am on the topextracts website, I don’t think the discount code – Welcome Friends still works, regardless I need relief and want to try Kratom. I have immense pain in my back and leg with a list of conditions and surgery on the horizon. I have severe fatigue from several strokes (which is only made worse by enduring the high alert level of severe pain) so what I don’t want is something that makes me tired which leans me toward the white Kratom, but I’m not sure what is the absolute best for pain b/c I’ve been in severe severe pain since July (before that I really endured) and at this level of pain, it has taken over my life. My doctor is horrilble and cares very little (at this point could probably be sued for malpractice). What is your suggestion for high pain with no fatigue side effects (with the understanding all bodies are different)? I apologize if I missed it in the article about Jenny or your two reviews.

It amazes me that we can clone animals and probably humans! But, we can’t produce a pain med that isn’t addictive and sife effect free. Come on…this is by design! WHY PROVIDE THE CURE WHEN THE TREATMENTS ARE SO PROFITABLE!!! Shame on you America…we are better than this. This broken medical system has caused this opiate crisis….period. And they don’t want to fix it!!
samuel
you have mention that the green kratom didnt agree with you and you liked the red ,i also took the green meng da and it work taking away the withdrawals and pain ,didnt take a percocet for 2 wks but became depressed ,is this what happened to you and should i try the kratom again with different strain like the red with the white or i could have taken wrong dosage or to much of 50 x extract i know this may be confusing but remember what you said about the green and only person i heard say that, thank you so much

Hello I am moose I’m diabetic and had a 4 way bypass surgery on my heart 3 years ago, now I have a severely bad pinched nerve in my neck, I’ve been in mad pain for 6days now just brought some kratom capsules, the CBD oil didn’t work for my pain, with the heart thing is it safe for me to take and how many should I take for first time I’m 51 years old and 270 pounds 6 foot 2

Hi there! I have neuropathy in both feet, and was on pain pills and patches for years as that was the only thing that would touch the pain. About 4 years ago I was able to get off them with kratom. However I have run into a problem with Kratom recently and not sure how to handle it. My typical dose would be 1/2 teaspoon (rounded) every 4 hours or so. Now I’m finding that I’m having withdrawals after only an hour after dosing. I’ve tried tolerance resets (which are miserable) and they work for a while, only for me to be back in this same position. When kratom works, its wonderful. But know I don’t know what to do about the tolerance and physical dependence issues. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

It’s been a miracle for my radiculopathy of C5, C6, and C7. It all started with pain in my shoulder blade which I thought was a trapezius muscle pull. Much to my dismay the pain intensified and spread down the arm. The pain hit level 9, I reserve 10, and I couldn’t lay down or sleep which further exasperated the pain. At this time there was a crackdown on prescription pain relievers and doctors were not providing pain relief. Finally after the MRI was conducted the doctors finally relented and wrote me a Rx for 5mg hydrocodone for 5 days. After the experience and the difficulty in securing pan relief, I was desperate. I was taken 500 to 1000mg of Tylenol every 6 hours, Advil every 6 hours, and added alcohol because I couldn’t get to the pain. Hydrocode and tylenol killed the pain, but which doctor was going to manage me without subjevting me to monthly $150 a pop drug testing plus out of pocket deductable to manage my case. In walks the suggestion of Kratom. OMG, pain relief!! It’s a miracle, 2.5 to 4g twice a day is giving me freedom from pain. It’s a God sent. The only side effect is the major slowing of the lower GI, which a complete diet change was needed to relieve. The red variety provides the best pain relief for me, which is probably due to genetics; furthermore, I haven’t had any noticeable withdrawals when my pain subsides. I recommend giving a try to anyone who’s struggling with chronic or recurring acute pain episodes.

Oh I so hope kratom continues to work for my chronic pain and they (the gov. and pharma cos) leave it the hell alone!

Great post!!
Kratom is natural herb which is consumed by many people to uplifting mood and to get relief from fatigue. It’s good to know that after consuming kratom your friend has got relief from depression and pain.
David
How would I use kratom to get off Suboxone? Can I use kratom and taper off of Suboxone at the same time? Anything you can send me would be great.
Thanks David
Matt Finch
Hi David,
That’s a great question. And I wrote a free ebook that I published on my blog which teaches you how to use kratom to get off Suboxone and other long-acting opioids. I invented the name the K-TAT Method which stands for Kratom-Transition-And-Taper Method. You actually switch off Suboxone completely over to kratom, stabilize on kratom for at least 3 weeks so your body gets used to the kratom and gets the Suboxone out of the system, then you use key supplements while tapering off kratom or at least a few weeks. It has such a high success rate for people coming off Subs or methadone. Click on this link to read about this method: The Kratom Playbook For Opiate Recovery.

Thank You for your article on Kratom, I have 6in. Of metal& 6 metal screws on each side of my spine, after two operations, I was on Heavy doses of opioids, 10mg of oxycodone, & 40mg of oxycontin, for 15 years, without any pain relief, till I found Kratom, my pain has gone from a 10 on a scale of 10, to a 5. I use a strain called Vietnam, it is three times stronger than all other strains. I use this along with my heart, diabetes meds, with No I’ll effects. I have been taking Kratom for the last 2+ years. My rallying cry for Kratom is “STAY KRATOM STRONG”
Matt Finch
Hi Paul,
It was my pleasure to write this article and I appreciate you commenting to share your experience with kratom helping your pain. I love your rallying cry “STAY KRATOM STRONG”!!! Really hope it stays legal so you and many others can continue getting natural pain relief benefits from it. Again, thanks for writing in and my best wishes go out to you, Paul. Take care. 🙂

Dear Matt…I was living for the last 4 years overseas searching for a natural remedy for diabetes . 15 years of chronic pain from diabetes drugs left me strung out on morphine injections. My poor husband was desperate to get me help from a natural source. We found your website and we started to plan my detox from morphine. I tapered as you suggested, but we made one big mistake thinking cannabis would help w/withdrawal. I ended a week of hell wanting to kill somebody!! Then we read about Kratom! We found a person in country who was a big supplier of Kratom. It has saved my life! I want to tell folks who are diabetic to take it VERY slow or you could end up with a stroke or heart attack! It is much more difficult for insulin dependent diabetics to go thru withdrawal! Now, after 8 months morphine free, I need Kratom for pain and can’t get off. Thanx for helping me so far! This article is sooooo timely! Matt, you are a true Godsend! Keep up the good work! We love you!Jesus loves you for me!!!
Georgette Martin
AMEN!

Where do you purchase your strain?

So interesting that I read your recent article. Why? Because I thought I had checked a box that said to stop continuing your article. Ha, ha. By the way, I’m 68, and the computer is a challenge for me.
Some thoughts here. (And I will get past the aspect that the dear Jenny got to travel to Oahu, Hawaii while on assistance. ) Because I too was once on assistance when 19. Brava to her, for being so bold. I mean that in the best way. I am 68 now.
I have been “using” maeng da kratom for some time now. From a company called Krave from the local head shop. My husband drives me. Actually, they are very nice folks. I asked them once how they think this brand is “good.” They replied, “because people keep buying it.” My wonder so to speak, is that I would like vegetable capsules, not gelatin caps. I have also purchased from your suggested Top Extracts, which has been easy, because the accept Visa card. Yet, they don’t sell the Maeng Da in caps. Also, going around the web is that kratom is contaminated. I won’t get into the politics of the why.
I have some input and also questions. To help others, I am asking here. And if you trust me, with your answers, I will send you a check for your time. How to do that I don’t exactly know. Please let me know where I could direct a check to you.
Oh, I could tell my pain story, however, I’m old school. And the story is probably the same story. I was “cut back,” on the pills, and not allowed tapering. Presently, am taking ten milligrams hydrocodone a day, twice. So, yes, I initially take/eat up the pills at the beginning of the month. Thankfully, there is kratom. For two weeks. Now I’m beginning to think that this “yo-yo” situation is not a good thing. My accupuncture Individual said to go slow, slow. Hum.
Specifically, my question for you is such. Top Extracts does not sell Maeng Da on their website. I’m wondering what the same would be? Of course for my plants who have been doing so well on the mentioned Maeng Da verses the mention white vein kratom. My plants are not looking to get high. They just want relief. It’s further interesting that the people who sell me the Maeng da say it’s for day use. I can take it at night, and fall asleep.
Also, added here, is the fact that there is gong to be a “Don’t Punish Pain” rally around the united states. April 7th. A well meaning group, and yet seem somewhat dis-organized. Well, shit. Everyone is in pain! And a lot of these folks are taking kratom.
My best, Linda

LOVED reading your post-Linda! You are awesome. 🙂 I tried that Krave brand one time from a smoke shop and I puked my guts out. Never took it again! To answer your question, I think you might love a combination of the White Bali and Red Borneo capsules from Top Extracts. Take it half n’ half and it should be a nice effect.
Additionally, I just heard about this “Don’t Punish Pain” concept from a well-known marketer and recovering addict named Joe Polish who did an interview with Dr. Gabor Mate who is an addiction specialist that says all addictions are just humans coping with pain. Here is the video which I learned a lot from. Very interesting concepts that make a lot of sense: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07nOScAHnXI
America has a sick and twisted view of addiction as a crime when really it’s a public health crisis. And like the professionals, I mentioned in the YouTube video stated…”You can’t punish the pain out of people.” When you punish an addict it just causes more stress and pain, and actually makes it harder for them to get better.
I really feel like we’ve come a long way with technology and health and wellness plus many other areas, but our view and treatment of addiction as a society reminds me of the Middle Ages! But upon an investigation into this rally coming up, I see that it means Don’t Punish “Physical Pain” and it’s in response to the new CDC prescribing guidelines, and not the “Don’t Punish Pain” concept of throwing addicts in jail for getting caught using drugs to cover the pain in their lives. Very interesting how there are these two coinciding “Don’t Punish Pain” campaigns. Good to see people are advocating for a better system.
You are absolutely right, Linda. “Everyone is pain!” At least during some times of life. We all experience it. No one is exempt. Whether physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, or a combination of these… mild, moderate, severe, or debilitating. I’ve enjoyed reading your post and responding and you’ve provided some wonderful wisdom that I sincerely appreciate. You have a cool charisma about you that is for sure! Nice chatting with you, Linda. 🙂

I have been taking kratom for about a week now since I got out of detox and I think it works great for my pain and former constipation. I was on 4 Oxycodone 30 mg a day along with 3 morphine 30 mg the ended release pills. It basically took over my life, I lost my good job because of them, my fiancee and 3 cars because of the of the hold the drugs had on me. I was so happy when a friend turned me on to kratom as a replacement for the pharmacuticles. I am 41,paralyzed and have chronic pain issues. If you read this, thanks.
