how to wean off morphine sulfate er

In this article, I’m going to teach you how to wean off morphine sulfate ER. I used to be addicted to heroin, morphine sulfate ER, other prescription opiates, and Xanax. I got clean using natural methods, and have since made it my Life’s Purpose and Mission to teach others how to recover from opioid dependence.

In the OAS COACHING PROGRAM™, I teach clients how to get off opioid drugs in ways that minimize discomfort to the mind and body.

By using the following techniques, you’ll be able to start weaning off morphine sulfate ER without experiencing major withdrawal symptoms.

Sound too good to be true?

After studying and perfecting the art of opiate recovery for over five years, I know for sure that this is the best way to wean off morphine sulfate ER.

Simply follow these five easy steps exactly as I’ve outlined, and you too will be on your way to weaning off morphine sulfate ER in a natural and effective way.

  • 1 1. Start Tapering Off Morphine Sulfate ER
  • 2 2. Start Taking an Opiate Withdrawal Supplement
  • 3 3. Start Taking DL-Phenylalanine (DLPA)
  • 4 4. Start Eating an Endorphin-Building Diet
  • 5 5. Start Exercising
    • 5.1 How To Wean Off Morphine Sulfate ER

1. Start Tapering Off Morphine Sulfate ER

Individuals tapering off opioids almost always relapse. In one large study in 2010, persons tapering off opioids during a nine-month period, whether initially or after a period of substantial improvement, led to nearly universal relapse.

This is because tapering by itself doesn’t work and people still experience withdrawal symptoms.

When my coaching clients ask me how to wean off morphine sulfate ER without withdrawal, I tell them the secret is to use a strategic taper plan in combination with a natural endorphin-building and brain chemistry rebalancing regimen. Steps 2-5 will help you rebalance your brain chemistry.

To taper morphine sulfate ER effectively, there are a few guidelines that you should follow:

  • The slower you taper, the fewer withdrawal symptoms you will experience.
  • Use the least amount of medication as possible to feel OK, and avoid taking more.
  • Don’t fear to come off morphine sulfate ER (fear affects your brain chemistry negatively).
  • Try lowering your dosage once every 10-14 days to give your body adequate time to adjust to the decreases.
  • Spend anywhere from 4 weeks to several months tapering, depending on your level of opioid dependence.
  • Always listen to your body and speak with your doctor about adjusting tapering speed as needed.

2. Start Taking an Opiate Withdrawal Supplement

If you really want to know how to wean off morphine sulfate ER without withdrawal, take this Opiate Withdrawal Supplement that has a powerful blend of organic herbs and other natural ingredients that can decrease withdrawal symptoms from coming off morphine sulfate ER and other opioids.

This formula can help you wean off morphine sulfate ER in the following ways:

  • Enhances Mood
  • Eases Stomach Discomfort
  • Increases Natural Energy
  • Calms Anxiety
  • Restores Dopamine Production Quickly
  • Reverses Depression
  • Reverses Insomnia

3. Start Taking DL-Phenylalanine (DLPA)

Whenever someone asks me how to wean off morphine sulfate ER, I always tell them to take DLPA, a supplement that combines the D- and L- forms of the amino acid phenylalanine.

It’s my second favorite supplement for opiate recovery just behind an Opiate Withdrawal Formula for the following reasons:

  • Boosts Endorphins
  • Boosts Dopamine & Norepinephrine
  • Reduces Pain
  • Enhances Mood
  • Increases Energy & Mental Focus
  • Combats Fatigue

Note: I never knew how to get off opiates without feeling like crap until I started taking DLPA. My brain chemistry was torn up by abusing drugs for so long. DLPA quickly worked to correct my imbalances, specifically targeting the neurotransmitters that I had become deficient in from using morphine sulfate ER and other opioid-type drugs.

4. Start Eating an Endorphin-Building Diet

Along with the first three steps, whenever clients of mine ask me how to get off morphine sulfate ER, I encourage them to eat plenty of high-quality protein foods. Consuming at least 20-30 grams of protein three times per day can radically increase your endorphins and other mood-enhancing chemicals in the brain.

The following dietary guidelines can help you wean off morphine sulfate ER:

  • Eat plenty of chicken, fish, turkey, beef, and other high-quality proteins (free-range, organic, and wild caught are best).
  • Drink plenty of water (half your body weight in ounces per day).
  • Consume lots of fresh fruits, veggies, and healthy fats.
  • Eliminate or decrease sugar, processed foods, and refined carbohydrates.
  • Eat as many organic whole foods as possible.

5. Start Exercising

This is the final ingredient to weaning off morphine sulfate ER. If you do Steps 1-4 and pass on exercising, you might still experience some moderate symptoms. I’ve designed this plan based on the power of synergy, so there is a huge amplification of benefits by doing everything together.

Exercise can help you wean off morphine sulfate ER because it:

  • Improves Mood
  • Boosts Endorphins
  • Improves Sleep
  • Reduces Pain
  • Promotes Well-Being
  • Reverses Anxiety
  • Reverses Depression
  • Increases Energy
  • Improves Physique
  • Boosts Confidence

I’m at the lowest dose of MS Contin 15 mg and take only once a day. My pain is minimal now which is why I want to get off and get rid of the side effects, constipation and dry mouth which is rotting my teeth. When I tried to go to 2.5 ml of morphine sulfate four times daily, it was too much and I started withdrawal which was miserable for a week. I was nonfunctional. Went back on the once daily extended release. Now I don’t know which way to go, try buprenorphine or something else that is extended release that I can cut gradually. Or maybe go to 3 or 3.5 ml of morphine liquid 4x daily.
    Thank you for your guidance.

My doctor just retired and now have a very young doctor. Wants me to get off the morphine and I take 160mg twice a day. He wants me to reduce 15mg every week. The first week 15mg in the morning so this is 145mg morning and 160mg at night. the 2nd week 145mg morning and 145mg at night. From the nurses’ that are going to be working with me say this is to quick. Have a fusion L3 through L 5 and now they want to extend the fusion to S1. They want me off the morphine to do the surgery and this scares the HELL out of me.

Well that’s that. I have had a spinal cord injury nerve damage and many other injuries. Unrelated have worn knee and shoulder joints that are not repairable. How do I reduce the pain of all my issues as I am reducing the morphine I new I should have never listened to the doctors at craig hospital and used there bandaid approach to all my issues should have just stayed in pain as I will most likely be in severe pain. Heuss the spine surgery I needed is out of the question along with any other type of elective surgeries.

I have had luck with Adrenamax supplement by Nutrional Frontiers recommended by my naturopathic physician. Reduced my pain and need for opioids dramatically. Took four supplements per day to start. Highly recommend.

I have had to be on Morphine Sulfate ER and IR for my back and knees. Due to a screw up thanks to social security, my medicare got cut and I may not be able to get it back until July 18. I also have a stomach disorder that doesn’t allow me to eat meat or many vegetables. What can I do as far as the diet part is concerned? I am out of the ER and might have about 20 IR left. I feel helpless! Thank you for any assistance you can provide!

Fruits like Wild Alaskan Blueberries can really help for the nutrition. Fruit is amazing and there are so many types of fruit that have high levels of micro-nutrients.
