When you start to use the right nutrients, then it’s going to repair your brain from all the damage that opioid use either caused or exacerbated.

Neurotransmitter deficiencies, hormonal deficiencies, excess glutamate, all sorts of stuff, the best way to fix these brain issues is with nutrition, supplementation, exercise, and several other biochemical strategies.

Smoothie Ingredients

So I got… let’s see, eight ounces of water in here. I’m going to put about four ounces of cold-pressed apple juice — that’s just to make it taste a little better — too much juice and it makes it too sweet for my personal taste, and too much water and it’s not quite sweet enough.

So next, I’m going to put in some powdered superfoods.

CBD Oil

So first, I’m going to put in some really good CBD oil right here.

CBD oil is great for anxiety, for depression, for pain relief, for your immune system, it’s an anti-inflammatory for both the brain and the body, we put about 10 drops of this stuff in there.

Raw Organic Maca Root Powder

Alright, next I’m going to put something called maca root powder.

Also known as it is Peruvian ginseng, this grows in the Andes Mountains of Peru (I think that’s right, yes Peruvian).

It’s a really strong powder, it gives you natural energy, increases your endurance, increases your libido, and improves your mood as well.

So one of the main symptoms is that fatigue when you get off opioids… this stuff gives you lots of energy.

I can’t take this daily when I’m single because… I think you could probably figure that one out on your own.

Beet Juice Powder

All right, the next one is a hundred percent beet juice powder. So what beetroot juice powder does is, I’m going to put a teaspoon of the stuff, yes it’s a teaspoon this stuff is really sweet, so I’m just going to put a half teaspoon in there.

So what beetroot juice powder does is it increases your body’s natural production of something called nitric oxide.

So you know we can live you know a certain amount of minutes without oxygen, a certain amount of days without water, a certain amount of weeks to months without food, we can’t even go five seconds without nitric oxide without dying.

Also known as the “Molecule of Life,” nitric oxide levels decline as you age and they are severely low when you get off opioids.

So again, nitric oxide improves your energy, your stamina, but also increases your blood flow, and what that does is it means all these other nutrients can go through — it’s a vasodilator — so through all the blood tubes all these other nutrients are going to get more — it increases all the nutrient absorption that — also increases libido too.

Anything that increases your libido is typically going to increase your energy and enhance your mood; it’s pretty hard to be depressed when your libido is high.

Cold-pressed Flaxseed Oil

This is cold-pressed organic flaxseed oil. This is really high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are amazing for helping to repair your brain, and these are great for depression, for anxiety, for a good high-quality fat energy — yes you want to get some good healthy fats in the smoothies.

I’m always looking for at least all these different nutrients, some fruit, maybe some vegetables, but also some high-quality fat for sure.

Sometimes I put virgin coconut oil in there as well.

Organic Powdered Greens

All right, so next we got Super Greens organic raw and nutrient-rich immune boosting daily nutrients.

This has like spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass, barley grass, it’s got probably two dozen powdered organic greens.

So there’s no fiber in it.

They take all the fiber out.

By taking all the fiber out, you get this extremely nutrient dense green-powder, so it’s really high in vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, and phytochemicals which are all really high nutrient density equals lots of mental and physical health.

I’m just going to put maybe half of that teaspoon in there, so let’s take a teaspoon I’m not going to mix this thing too gnarly because I’m not coming off opioids right now.

Organic Matcha Powder

All right, the next one… this one’s amazing… organic matcha powder.

So matcha powder is the strongest form of green tea.

It’s got probably about 40 or 50 milligrams and a teaspoon of this.

I’m going to do another half a teaspoon, but anyways, so it’s got a little bit of caffeine but not too much.

It’s also mixed with something called L-Theanine.

L-Theanine is an amino acid that makes your brain go from the anxiety-causing beta waves down to your calming, meditative alpha waves.

So the alpha wave brain state is a very meditative, mindful, hypnotic brain state.

L-Theanine has been shown in a study with monkeys to significantly reduce morphine withdrawal symptoms, so this is a great one.

Matcha also increases a bunch of other neurotransmitters as well.

So with L-Theanine, it increases dopamine, GABA, and serotonin.

Very good stuff. What do I got left?

So now we’ve done all the superfoods.

Frozen Wild Blueberries

Okay so now what I have here is not regular blue babies… not organic blueberries… but Wild Blueberries.

Wild Blueberries are highest blueberries in something called anthocyanins.

Anthocyanins are water-soluble phytochemicals that help increase your cellular energy and helps really decrease free radicals in your body.

We’ll put some blueberries in there, there we go, very nutrient-dense berry.

It’s also very low in sugar as well, but I’m about to bump up the sugar with the banana.

Organic Banana

Well, bananas are high in potassium, which can help with the sore muscles, the tight muscles, the restless legs; I just put it in a smoothie because it makes it taste really good.

Often times I also put in some — what’s it called? Garden of Life brand Grass-Fed Whey Protein Isolate Protein Powder.

That’s my favorite for my biochemistry, but a lot of people will put plant protein powders in, people will put stuff like peanut butter or Greek yogurt to get some protein.

I do lots of different stuff, but my favorite is grass-fed whey protein powder; it just works the best for me.

The protein is really good to put in this.

If I had some protein powder I’d put it in there.

But protein is made up of amino acids, and amino acids, once they hit your brain, that creates neurotransmitters.

So the goal of this game to “Repair Your Brain” is to increase all the main neurotransmitters that are important for behavior and mood; aka GABA, endorphins, enkephalins, and serotonin and dopamine.

Cheers!

Thanks for watching.
